On November 29, 2024, the Annual Meeting of China Designers Commission of China Leather Industry Association（CLIA）, was held in Wenzhou, Shoes Capital of China. This significant event in the fashion design industry brought together numerous industry elites, renowned designers, fashion brand representatives, and related professionals to discuss on the innovative designs, trends, and future directions for the leather industry.

The meeting covered lectures on the following topics: 2025/26 International Color Trends for Footwear, Bags, and Apparel; The Fashion Road of Leather Industry – From Traditional Craftsmanship to Future Trends; Fashion Design Entering the "Meaningful" Era; Moda China International Shoes, Bags & Apparel Fashion Day 2025 – Design Leading the Industry toward High-Quality Development; Fashion Design and Knowledge Construction –Confronting with the Intelligent Era; Intangible Cultural Heritage Elements: A Source of Inspiration and an Opportunity for Development in Fashion Innovative Design; The Application of Traditional Chinese Elements in Modern Apparel Products;  New Footwear Economy: Sustainable Development of Footwear.

Following the themed lectures, a roundtable discussion titled "Reshaping the Future: Innovative Fusion of Design, New Technologies, and New Business Formats" was held. The attendees discussed on the challenges of the industry, the responsibilities and missions of designers, how design can be revitalized through new technologies, and how new technologies empower new business formats to drive transformation, upgrading, and sustainable development in the leather industry.
